A cotton t-shirt to remind us that being 'Good Enough' is not a failure.
We want so badly to be perfect. We torment ourselves with images of what we’re supposed to be like, especially at work and in love. But this vision doesn’t emerge from a careful study of real human beings. It’s a cruel fantasy and a piece of punitive perfectionism. The generous phrase ‘good enough’ is designed to remind us of the many lesser – yet very real – virtues we already possess, and that our unreal hopes have made us overlook. ‘Good enough’ isn’t failure: it’s a grown-up cure for the sickness of idealisation.
This t-shirt is part of The School of Life's Statement Collection, a collection of products designed to help us make an honest statement about how we feel. See the full collection here.
