Collection Four by Vic Wright

Cast Editions is the latest series of sculptures. The shapes interact and connect with each other making adaptable collections. All of the pieces in the series can be displayed and stacked in a variety of different ways, making it fun to find your own personalised sculptural display.

Collection Four is made up of three individual coloured sculptures

1x White #5 - 7.5 x 8 x 4 cm 1x Sage #10 - 7 x 5 17.5 cm 1x Mocha #2 - 5 x 5 x 9.5 cm All the sculptures are cast using sustainable pigments and casting cement.

Each sculpture is cast and finished by hand. Due to the nature of the casting process and materials used small air holes and slight differences in the colours may occur in the finished product. All sizes given are an approximation.

Vic Wright is a Sculptor from the North West of England, she works from her studio in Greater Manchester.

Typically Vic’s work takes the form of casts. Using a base of sustainable casting cement different materials such as metal powders and pigments are added. When drying this results in different textures, colours and surfaces.

Vic has an explorative approach to her work. She wants to capture the differences between contrasting elements, to create a visual language between materials. Her work evokes the natural world, only amplified, distorted and moulded to give new context. Vic is influenced in how nature displays beauty in difference. Her interest in using industrial materials create delicate tactile results, which is a common thread throughout her work.
